Pip Eastop – Hornplayer

This photo was taken on stage at the Royal Festival Hall during an L.P.O. rehearsal. You can see the newly installed adjustable acoustic wings above, in the background.

Chris was asleep, head in hands, when he was woken up by the flashing LED of my little Canon Ixus camera. I had set it to time-delay and slid it between his feet, pointing straight upwards at his face to catch a photo of him asleep in the rehearsal. At this moment he had just opened his eyes and was wondering what the hell was going on. 

Due to the stretching of his face by his curious sleeping position he doesn’t look much like his normal self. I’m afraid I can’t reveal who it is …but you might be able to work it out if you rearrange the letters of his name. 

Here’s another clue: His favourite food is Irish Dill Crabs.
